A night of celebration at the Rotherham Chamber of Commerce Business Awards (9th January 2008)

Millfold Group recently received two awards at the glittering Rotherham Chamber of Commerce Business Awards event in October 2007.

The first award of the evening was the ‘Salute to Business’.  This prestigious award is presented to local businesses that have been in service for 25 years.   Millfold, having been established in 1982 were pleased to be announced as recipients of this 25 years honor.

Millfold also entered the ‘Invest in Skills Award’, sponsored by the Learning and Skills Council.  Millfold were pleased to be highly commended on the night for clearly showing a strong emphasis and commitment for the continuous development of its staff.

 

New Dedicated Training Academy (19th March 2007) 

The company have opened the doors this week to their new dedicated central training academy in Birmingham (next door to their depot in Oldbury).

This centre of excellence will be utilised to train new installers who join the company, along with all existing installers.  The facility offers a classroom environment whereby installers will complete practical exercises to learn about the company’s values, customer care and health and safety procedures. In addition, the facility also houses specially designed rigs whereby installers can simulate the installation of cavity wall, loft insulation and draught proofing.

Combining this with the ongoing support from the training team, existing installers, Supervisors and Depot Managers will produce some of the best trained people in the industry. The investment demonstrates the value that the company places on its people and to continually finding ways to improve our customer’s experience.

The academy will also be utilised for future development and training requirements in line with the company’s objective for future diversification.

Customer Service Winner 2006 Rotherham Chamber Business Awards (13th October 2006)

Millfold Group have successfully been awarded the prestigious Rotherham Chamber of Commerce Customer Service Award sponsored by Corus Group.

The award, which recognises an organisation, which has a clear customer service strategy, was presented at the spectacular awards ceremony held at Magna, near Rotherham on 13th October 2006.

Millfold successfully fought off stiff competition from 13 other entrants to be crowned the winner on the night. We returned this year, having been declared overall winners in 2004 and runners up in the categories of Customer Service and Business Growth. This is a particularly outstanding achievement as it recognises the hard work that has been carried out by the company since then, to further improve the service we give to our customers such that we have now reached a benchmark for others to aspire to.

 

Extension of Co-ownership to all Group Employees (1st June 2006)

The Millfold Group (part of the Eaga Group) have recently announced changes to the structure and ownership of the business which will allow all group employees a stake in the business. As of the 1st June 2006, the Eaga group extends co-ownership to all their employees who qualify by having served a minimum of 12 months continual employment.

Co-ownership will give its employees a sense of engagement and will create a family atmosphere which is now at the core of the business. As co-owners of the business each employee will be made to feel part of a growing family and a successful organisation.

The Groups anchor and parent company Eaga Partnership have already demonstrated how co-ownership really works and motivates people. They were rated as one of the best companies to work for in 2004/05 in the Sunday Times 'Top 100 Companies to Work For' index.

Millfold Group now forms part of the Homes Division of the Eaga Group.

Millfold extend Product Range (May 2006)

The Millfold Group have recently announced the addition of a further cavity wall insulation system which is to be offered alongside its existing product range.

The Group well known in the industry for its use of blown mineral fibre cavity wall insulation systems, will as from May 2006 offer a beaded polystyrene system 'Polypearl Plus'.

Millfold are extremely proud of their record of maintaining good customer relations and for remaining focused on delivering a service and products that meet their customers requirements. It is for this reason, that Millfold have opted to add a further product to their range.

Polypearl Plus is a BBA approved product that has been in use for many years. It offers excellent thermal performance and will provide an alternative solution for Part L Building Regulation compliance with regard to the energy performance of a dwelling.

Millfolds Largest Depot achieves Investors in People Status (June 2005)

Investors In People Award - The Millfold Group Home Insulation Specialists – Millfold Group Limited have recently been awarded Investor in People Status.

The recognition of this prestigious standard goes to their Rotherham Depot which is the largest of all of their depots and is also the longest standing.

Everyone agrees that people are an organisations greatest asset and all acknowledge that for an organisation to succeed everyone has to perform well. To achieve this, people need the right knowledge, skills and motivation to work efficiently.

The Investor in People standard has made a real difference to the people who work at Millfold and their customers are also said to have benefited from an even higher standard of quality and customer care. This is a fantastic achievement for Millfold and one which they hope to role out to all of their other 14 depots in the future.

Change of Ownership Announcement (29th April 2005)

We are pleased to announce that on Friday, 29th April 2005, the ownership of Millfold Group / Mico Services and all of our associated companies was transferred to Eaga Partnership Limited.

Eaga Partnership are a leading energy efficiency provider who work with central government and devolved national governments in Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They are widely recognised for the management of the Warm Front, HEES and Warm Deal schemes. In addition to this they also work alongside power companies and social housing providers in ensuring the delivery of other energy efficiency related schemes.

Millfold Group / Mico Services are delighted with the new arrangement. Eaga Partnership share a similar vision and values to our own. There are many synergies between the companies that will enhance the services and growth prospects for both parties. This exciting new development will create the formulation of Europe’s largest residential energy efficiency provider.

Millfold Group have successfully been awarded the Rotherham Chamber 2004 OVERALL WINNER Award sponsored by the HSBC. Julie Hickton collected the award on behalf of the company at the prestigious Business Awards Gala held at the Hellaby Hall on Thursday, 7th October.

The award was given to us having demonstrated:

We were also pleased to be voted RUNNERS UP in the Customer Service Award and Business Growth Award.
